Go Kat Go! It's Camp NaNoWriMo

Happy April, everyone! I hope this post finds you and your loved ones well. Some of you who have been following me for a while now will know I’m a big fan of National Novel Writing Month, also know as NaNoWriMo. During this time, writers join together online to write fifty thousand words in a month by following a quota and cheering each other on. NaNoWriMo happens during November, which is a busy time for me, meaning I’m usually more successful during Camp NaNoWriMo, a more relaxed version during the months of April and July.

I’m pleased to report, last night, I won Camp NaNoWriMo eleven days early, meaning I’m on track to write a full eighty thousand words in one month. 🤯

Typically, a novel takes me ten weeks to complete, so writing on in four in genuinely astounding. Most of the credit needs to go to my friend for pushing me with word sprints, where she sets a timer, and we race to write as much as possible before the timer goes off.

The other thing that has made this Camp NaNo a little different is their new, fancy stats. Indulge me and take a look at my data points. 📈📊

So there it is! It’s been a big month and it’s not done yet! You’re going to love this story. I certainly do.

Back to writing! Stay safe everyone!
